Favorite sex/sexy scene 
Bella - The greenhouse scene.  Ho-lee-shit.  Loved it!!!  "Now, I fuck you with paint."  Um, I never thought I would find that appealing, but Spencer has a way with his ... um ... paint gun!!

Kara - That greenhouse scene where he told her about his grandmother...and then it becomes such a wonderful memory for them. I love the sexy sweet.

Christy - The alley. Or the apartment where they got caught. Spencer is hot in ANY sex scene.

Favorite part of the book
Bella - Second epilogue.  Hands down.  I LOVE the second epilogue!!!

Kara - second epi.  Cause I love the bossy ones & the women that can hold their own. Bwhahaha

Christy - I agree- the second epilogue was epic. And any scene that Spencer went caveman was great.

Ronin/Ford/Spencer?
Bella -  Ford.  I'm team Ford all the way!!!!!!!!  I love Ronin & Spencer too.  But Ford just stole my heart!!!

Kara - Ford.  Period....but I'd like to be besties with Spencer!!!

Christy - Ford!! Ford!!! Ford!!!!! There is zero competition.

THIS BOOK IS FIVE STARS. FIVE - AWESOME - GLORIOUS STARS.

J.A. Huss wraps up her Tragic series with this book. and boy does she do an outstanding job!

Spencer *sigh* the way he takes care of his Ronnie... will make you swoon (while being pissed that he should do things different). In GUNS we learn the WHY & the WHY is so wrapped together. The WHY fills in the blanks.

I am not going to lie though...I had to take a break from reading, reality hit me...She is ending this series. Although - Ms Huss did it justice.  She gave me Happy!

JA Huss is one of those authors I will drop everything to read. I could not WAIT to get my hands on Guns.

First of all, I fell in love with Ronin when I read the Rook & Ronin series. But then when I read Slack and Taut - Ford just stole the show. He became my favorite, easily.

I was very curious if Spencer could top Ford.

Spencer is the muscle of the team. But he isn't just strong. He's protective. And he wants to protect his bombshell.

He's in love with Veronica. But he sure has a funny way of showing it.

We get alternating POV from Spencer and Veronica. LOVE this. This is my favorite way to read a story.

Spencer is hot.

It's not what he does, it's how he does it. It's not what he says, it's how he says it. It's not how I feel, it's how he makes me feel.

There are some very unique sex scenes in this book and I loved every minute of them!!

And who knew that an orgasm could obey the laws of moonlight photography exposure times?

The shit storm that Ronin, Spencer and Ford have created in their previous "jobs" all comes to a head in this book. It's so suspenseful. So unpredictable. I was on the edge of my seat. What's going to happen? What's going to happen? WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN?????

Spencer has it covered.

And then there's only one thing left to do.
I get the guns.

Hells yea.

I don't want to spoil anything. But I just have to say, I think I'm more in awe of Ford after reading Guns. He is a mastermind.

And.

The second epilogue. I f'n loved that second epilogue so hard.

The bottom line is this: I'm in awe of JA Huss. She is a phenomenal writer. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing books!!

I highly recommend.

“The first rule of Shrike Club is never talk about Shrike Club.

It’s no secret that the Rook & Ronin series is a favorite of mine. I love these books. The first three were amazing. Then we get the Ford and Spencer spin offs, which are even better in my opinion! Yes, if you haven’t read these books you MUST! Guns is not a standalone. You should read the entire series before jumping into this book.

Be prepared- Guns has the funny, sexy and original story line like the others, but it has much more action and suspense!

Spencer Shrike. Bad boy biker. Tattooed player. He’s the security. The muscle. And the motherfucking boss. And he’s been under Veronica Vaugns skin for as long as she can remember...

 


Spencer and his Bombshell, Veronica used to be quite the pair. They used to be inseparable. Now things have turned not so great between them. Spencer has been pushing her away and she’s sick of it. It appears that Spencer is just a jerk, but he really does have good reasons for keeping Ronnie at a distance.

Thank fucking God, my Bombshell is safe. No one knows about us. No one knows how much I love her. And that’s the whole reason I continue to break her heart, time after time after time. I never want this shit we’re in to touch her again.

He will do anything in his power to keep her safe. To keep her out of ‘The Team’.

Veronica has tried time and time again to move on from Spencer. Date nice and normal guys. It doesn’t work. She can’t find that same spark with anyone else. When she fell for Spencer, she fell hard.

 

His lips crush against mine and my knees just give out. I’m weak. Whenever he touches me I am so, so weak.

Spencer and Ronnie have amazing chemistry. I love them together. I love how protective Spencer is over Bomb, even when she doesn’t know it. Spencer is a complex guy. Who he appears to be and who he is deep down are two different things. Ronnie is a kick ass heroine. Even though she appears to be that bad ass, tough girl, she does have a sensitive side. Especially when it comes to Spencer. Just like he’s protective of her, she has that same protective streak over him. Veronica will do whatever it takes to keep Spencer safe... even if it means teaming up with someone else...

 

This dream of mine might be over before it starts.

Yes, the majority of the book is about Spencer and Ronnie. But the other characters and their stories still play a large role. And the question on everyones mind... Do we get more Ford? Yes. More Ford. I feel like I could never get enough Ford, but I was still so happy with the scenes we got. 

“That’s is,” Ford says, slapping his laptop closed. “We can’t work with a guy who’s never seen Fight Club. It’s absurd. Real men watch Fight Club. It’s like Full Metal Jacket or... or... The Godfather. It’s something we all do as men. Carson.” He pushes past me and stands in front of the banker. “You’re out of the club. Sorry.”


Gah! I just go crazy over that man! I will proudly wear the title of Ford’s #1 Fan (Or at least share it with Jana) It’s safe to say that “I’m on Team Ford.”

But anyway... back to the Team. It was nice to see everyone on the team play their parts. They have been through a lot together. What I really loved about Guns is it had a lot of action. There were several twists and turns I did not see coming! I love when a story can surprise me. The ending, and the epilogue. And then the second epilogue. Pure perfection.

This series deserves more than five stars. Although the number five does hold a very special meaning to me. There is so much I love about these books. The characters are quirky and lovable, the writing is top notch, and they are full of humor, steam, romance and action. It’s a great combo. The very best thing about them (well, besides Ford) is that I haven’t read anything else like them. A completely original story line with unique characters is a rarity. Even though Guns appears to be the final installment of the Rook and Ronin series, and it did have a perfect conclusion, I’m really hoping we get more of these fantastic characters in some way or another. As you can tell, I love the book and series!  I would highly recommend you give it a go!

Everything all comes back to me. We stand together, so if we lose, we’re all going down. We all played a part.

I have been dying for this book since finishing Masked Innocence. I needed to see Brad and Julia have a HEA. Alessandra Torre's writing style has become one of my favorites. I have come to expect super sexiness with substantial plot and unpredictable twists. There are so many loose ends that needed to be dealt with and I couldn't wait to see how Torre would do it. Work, Brad's family, Alexis, marriage, etc.


Brad is still sex on a stick. He's confident, arrogant and vulnerable in this book. I LOVE how connected he is to Julia. He's devoted to her. And I love how he doesn't beat around the bush.


“But know that I find it despicable that, of all of your sons, I would be the one that you find shameful. Thank you for reminding me of why I cut off contact with you.” Bam. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, daddyo.


Julia is embracing her relationship with Brad. She still struggles to keep her independence and not get completely steamrolled by Brad's dominance. But she is enjoying their...ahem...sexual endeavors.


“This is the animal Brad, my favorite side of him, a side I only see in these moments, when he is watching me with another, and every alpha male instinct is on high alert.”


Not only is she enjoying it but she has graduated to the next level. “The blindfold. I didn't need it.”


“No, no one ever owned a god. But I was working on taming, fooling him into submission.”


We get plenty of sex so be warned – do not read in public! The birthday scene is my favorite. YUM.


From the beginning of the book, there is this forewarning that something bad is going to happen. This kind of took away the element of surprise for me and made the book slightly more predictable than I would have liked. None the less, I was sucked in from the beginning and could not focus on anything other than turning the pages!


It's difficult to say good bye to these characters. I still want more Brad and Julia. The end left me feeling a bit...bereft. It's over?? I mean, I knew the book had to end sometime, but it still crept up on me and left me wanting more.


If you haven't read Blindfolded Innocence and Masked Innocence you have to start with them.

10,000 STARS!! This book was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

I can't believe I waited so long to read it. It sucked me in from the start and completely kidnapped my attention.

I really, really don't want to spoil anything for anyone.

I was SO HAPPY we got dual POV from both Carson and Grace.

Carson - sex on a stick. OMG. I LOVE Carson. He is beautiful, but there is more to him than meets the eye. Early on in the book, he is known for his looks and his...sexy ways. He's unpredictable and doesn't have a life plan. He takes life as it comes and knows this:

Life is wild.

Grace is the complete opposite. She has a plan for everything. She is strung rather tight and is doing everything she can to fulfill her goals.

A convention in Las Vegas brings Grace and Carson together. Grace hates Carson almost immediately because he clearly does NOT fit in with her life plan. But fate brings them together again. And after spending some time together, their electric chemistry pulls them together like magnets.

They change each other's lives. Forever.

The book spans YEARS and I thought I might actually die before I reached the end.

The author connected me to these characters so deeply. I LOVED watching them grow and change into better people because of each other.

The books has some steamy, sexy scenes (panty melting hot - Carson will star in my fantasies for a while) but there is so much more than sex in this book.  The plot thickened and kept me guessing. It was completely unpredictable - something I really, really appreciate. The story became deeper, turning into something truly meaningful and worthy.

And I won't forget this book for a long while. I will re-read it. I'm sure many times.

Every time I see a sunrise I will think of these characters.

Every time I hear the word Buttercup, I'll think of Carson and Grace.

Every time I get on an elevator, I'll think of them, too.

Carson. Sigh.

"I'd do anything for you, Grace. I'd slay a dragon for you."

SWOON!  At first, Carson seduced me. Then, he stole my heart.

You HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK. Right NOW. I highly recommend.

I was told... read Archer's Voice. Read Archer's Voice. So I put that on my short list. BUT BEFORE I could read Archer's Voice I had to read A Sign of Love #3!
And that is where I met CARSON STINGER. OH-a porn star you say? Oh hell yes.

I came across this quote in chapter 1: "No, not at all. Looks like we're both here to learn how to be the best at getting people off."
bahahaha. yup LOVED this book in chapter 1!

"And damn it if she didn't taste like sunshine and everything sweet and fresh this would had to offer." SWOON!

and then there are these awesome words: "What it comes down to is how much heart you have, and how you will give this your all, not because anyone will give you accolades, but on the contrary, because no one ever has, and you don't depend on that for your success."

I loved this book... so for those of you that maybe skipped it and went right to ARCHER... come back and read CARSON! You missed out.
